Before joining Circle X, she appeared on
regional theatre stages for almost 30 years. Based out of Seattle, she has
worked for The Seattle Repertory Theatre, The Empty Space, The Intiman
Theatre, the late great Pioneer Square Theatre (where she appeared in ER,
Emergency Room for a year), Portland Repertory Theatre, Portland Center
Stage, Denver Center and others.
Jayne moved to LA with the award winning Peter Parnell’s adaptation of John
Irving’s The Cider House Rules from Seattle Repertory Theatre to The Mark
Taper Forum.
Regional theatre favorite roles include Emma Brookner in The Normal Heart,
Mrs. Alving in Ghosts, Bottom/Demetrius in Midsummer’s Night’s Dream,
Marilla in Anne of Green Gables, Praskovia in The Merry Widow at the San
Francisco Opera, Agave in The Bacchae, Argia in The Queen and the Rebels,
and Joy in Justin Tanner’s Hot Property recently at the Evidence Room and
Costanza in Enchanted April for the Pasadena and the Cleveland Playhouses.
Jayne is proud to have been the Assoc. Artistic Director of TRIAD Ensemble
in Seattle for six years. With this company, she produced, directed and
acted in many world premieres and “lesser known plays by major playwrights”.
Their production of Ibsen’s Hedda Gabler titled Hedda’ 55 lives in the
Theatre on Film/Tape Library (TOFT) at the Lincoln Center in New York.
Tours include an international tour of a Labor of Love: A Rice Farmer’s
Musical culminating at the Barcelona Olympic Arts Festival and 6 months on
the Canadian Fringe circuit playing the title role in “Mother Courage and
her Children”. Member of Classical Theatre Lab and Circle X for whom she has
done three shows. Most recently guest starred on The Practice, ER and The
Brotherhood of Poland, NH, NYPD Blue, Without a Trace, LOST, NUMB3RS, and 6
Feet Under. She just wrapped shooting a movie starring Jeff Bridges called
The Mogels. |
