Trained in theater since she was five, Cheryl Rave has always been a storyteller. Earning BFA’s in acting and technical theater from the Ohio State University, she followed her passion for the arts and entertainment and moved to New York City, where she worked in theater as one of the youngest Production Managers Off-Broadway and in independent film - where she worked with award winning directors like Stanley Kwan. She leapt at the opportunity to mix her love of entertainment with her love of travel and served as the Tour Coordinator for the Bill of Rights Tour – an eighteen month, national tour that celebrated the Bill of Rights 200th anniversary.

To try the development side of things, Cheryl moved to Los Angeles and worked for Gross-Weston Productions, Stephen J. Cannell’s MOW arm, where they produced television movies such as A Place for Annie starring Sissy Spacek.  Missing the Big Apple, she returned to New York City- and worked in the publicity department of Harry Abrams Publishing, Inc., promoting authors of incredible art and coffee table books.  Her PR work took her to Conde Nast Traveler Magazine with a range of titles and experiences including one that took her to Jamaica to coordinate the September 1997 (‘Top 100’ issue’s) travel/fashion shoot.

Cheryl returned to Los Angeles in 1997 and started working for The Walt Disney Company in various capacities.  She managed the production and post for fifteen original series at the   Disney Channel, including the award-winning Bear in the Big Blue House and the innovative Rolie Polie Olie, simultaneously earning her Masters degree in Producing from UCLA.  Subsequent to Disney, she worked for a state-of-the-art post production house that produces trailers for Buena Vista/Walt Disney titles. Cheryl’s company, Crave Productions, started developing and producing scripts, short films and special events. She had the honor of producing the Tribute to Independent Vision for the Sundance Film Festival honoring Benicio Del Toro in 2002 and Holly Hunter in 2003. Other special event clients include the International Platinum Guild and Warner Bros. Studios. She spent a summer working in Berlin for BAF- Berlin Animation Film (a German film fund) - as a consulting producer on seven animated series.  She also spent several weeks in Paris working for the same executive producer. She is currently developing several scripts and projects she intends to produce this year.
