Membership
MagnaCarta is a limited membership
theatre company. Candidates for membership are principally
selected by a formal process from our volunteer and
associate membership pools.

Playwright Submissions
Due to resource
limitations, new play scripts are accepted from recognized
theatrical agencies or on referral from a theater professional only.
Normal response time for play submissions is three to six months,
though we try to be as speedy as possible. Sample submissions
will be responded to only if a full copy of the script is
requested.
For
unsolicited plays, writers should submit:
— A one-page synopsis of the play
— 5-10 pages of sample dialogue
— Biographical information and/or reviews

Volunteers
MagnaCarta welcomes volunteers to assist our
staff in the areas of administration, finance, marketing and
production. Through our volunteer program you are afforded the
opportunity to showcase your unique talents while experiencing the
inner workings of a professional theatre company from every angle,
as well as the administrative and operational aspects of running a
non-profit organization.
Volunteers receive free tickets to
productions and company events! No prior theater experience is
needed, although any expertise you can bring to MagnaCarta is always
greatly appreciated. Volunteers are expected to commit 5+
hours a week. Everyone is encouraged to inquire. If
