MagnaCarta Theatre Company Presents "Lusting After Pipino’s Wife" --

a Wild and Witty Comic Riff on Love, Lust and the Battle of the Sexes

LOS ANGELES, Calif., March 13, 2003 -- MagnaCarta Theatre Company proudly presents “Lusting After Pipino’s Wife” -- a wild and witty comic riff by Sam Henry Kass.

The play, directed by Katherine Huston, opens April 11 and runs through May 17 with 8 pm nightly shows on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.  The show has a running time of 1 hour 45 minutes.  Tickets are $15 general admission and $20 for the Opening weekend Gala Benefit performances, which includes a champagne reception after party.  Discounts are offered for students, seniors and groups of 10 or more.  ALL TICKETS ARE TAX-DEDUCTIBLE.  For reservations call (323) 860-9907.  Tickets may be purchased on line at magnacartatheatre.org or at the door.

In "Lusting After Pipino's Wife", we meet two sets of friends:  Vinnie, a charming and predatory troublemaker; his best friend Patsy, a sweet, uncomplicated man who's floated through life; Rita, a simple woman with simple dreams, and; her best friend Lorraine, a complicated woman full of angst and anger who's descending into the depths of a breakdown.  Their friendships and hearts collide as they struggle to find themselves and each other.

"Lusting After Pipino's Wife" is a bittersweet tale of truths and hilarious surprises in which we see that love is a game with no rules, no logic, and no ultimate winner.  The best you can hope for is to be left standing when the bell rings.

The MagnaCarta Theatre Company's presentation of “Lusting After Pipino’s Wife" is being performed at the East Theatre at The Complex, 6476 Santa Monica Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90038.

Members of the Media are cordially invited to opening performances on Friday, April 11 and Saturday, April 12.  Showtime is 8 pm with champagne reception after party following each performance.
